Trans people
Suicide is much higher post trans surgery (~2.37x) in sweden population wide study (comparing the general trans communities suicide rate with those who have gender reassignment surgery (rough calculation (see bottom for calculation)))
29.7% of trans people (35.6% of trans men, 19% of trans women) put on hormones stop taking them within four years (USA army study (average age 19.2)) (detransitioners)

(Hormone therapy may help male to female but not female to male (in depression))

Gay Bi L people benefit from being accepted (60% external 40% internal phobia of themselves (or reverse))
Conversion therapy around 90% effective in readjusting trans people to their biological sex
Plus over 80% of trans teenagers/youth naturally grow out of it by adulthood
Conversion therapy 30% effective for gays 60% effective for pedo
"Encouraging LGBTQ makes people more suicidal and less happy overall (WRONG) 2x suicide thoughts from discrim or violent. 3x in lbg on average total of all youth." An old note I had, (Lost study link) (Not definitive, i need to find the link again). Being cruel to lgbtq people may not be a net good, even if it did act to lower levels of sexual deviancy in borderline cases. Bi people were much happier when dating the opposite gender than the same sex gender. However it's not clear if government policy that has a "lbgtq encouragement" "antidiscrimination educational focus" actually reduces levels of discrimination on the streets. Pierre Trudeau's "government has no place in the bedrooms of canadians" policy may be better, or the "don't ask, don't tell policy" in the us army. As advocating for something many canadians have an aversion to (including lgbtq people) might lead to a backlash and more discrimination, people might just not want to think about it. Gender does seem quite fluid in trans people and bringing back tom-boy as a word, and discouraging gender transitioning (especially or perhaps even exclusively in those under the age of ~28 (age (?)) would be a net good (though there will still be many trans people who don't have a successful prognosis, even if eventually put through gender dysmorphia therapy. This is probably a good thing (as having a minority of people who thinks differently is generally advantageous). Likewise I don't think teaching kink to children or teens or even adults provides any benefits to society (though if independent groups want to put on events at their expense that would be okay (perhaps not in libraries, townhalls, or non-postsecondary schools though (maybe all government buildings) (lgb meet-ups in high school would be fine though)), as I feel chastity/purity should continue to be considered a virtue. (I also feel it's inappropriate to ask every child/teen, and adults too, what their gender and sexual proclivities are in broad government surveys and to keep records on the subject) (Pride parades are probably necessery, and highly likely a net good (however would become untenable if chastity was highly valued in society again))
A one sided, and partial ban, on conversion therapy (as done in canada) is bad for society
Some call LGBTQ rights groups "progressive", but at some points those advocating for chastity were deemed "progressive" (including in the 1930's in England). Many societies (past and present) have had very permissive attitudes to sexual deviancy (or sexual minorities): this included mandatory gay sex in the greek army, roman temples for transwomen (w/ provided castration services), legal paedophilia, and many other stories of what the bible termed "sinful" behaviour. Though perhaps not as eye catching as the practice of human sacrifice in religious ceremonies, rituals (like in the religion of baal) where a women would have sex with a bull atop a hill to throngs of onlookers indicate that "sexual liberation" still has room for expansion. I am disinclined to believe this would be positive however. All roman emperors had male lovers except for one I am told.
BPD and depression in mothers raises risk of gender dysphoria in boys
Diethylstilbestrol (estrogen miminic) (now banned) increases transgenderism by ~4x (pre-natal exposure)
"In XY animals, it has been shown that environmental endocrine disruptors, through their anti-androgenic activity, induce a female identity."

(I used attempted suicide here instead of completed suicide (probably worse for completed))
